Last Labor Day weekend, I had the great pleasure of second shooting Becky & Kyle's wedding for Cambria Grace. It was at the beautiful and historic Codman Estate in Lincoln, MA. I've photographed many weddings at different estates around New England, but I think the Codman might be my favorite. It was full of surprises, like the breathtaking hidden garden full of Victorian statues and a lilypad-filled pond where the couple had their ceremony. To make the day even better, the flowers were designed by Boston Pollen and the event styling and coordination by Laura Wells. Everything was flawless. With the threat of rain all day, the overcast skies made for a soft glow all afternoon.
The snow is still coming down here in Boston and I've been thinking about warmer days. Beth & Jill got married last summer with a small and intimate DIY ceremony at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA. The day started out warm and grey but luckily, the sun came out just in time and they ended up having a beautiful day. With help from their friends, everything was lovingly made by hand, which made for a unique and personal ceremony. I had a great time getting to know and sharing their day with them!
